SUMMARY
A hollow threaded bar with a connected drill bit that may be used for drilling, anchoring, and grouting all in one step makes up the self-drilling hollow bar anchor system. When drilling is finished, grout may be injected right away because the hollow bar allows water and air to flow easily through it to remove particles. Grout completely encases the bolt and fills the hollow bar. While nuts and plates are used to create the necessary tension, couplings can be used to unite hollow bars and extend the length of the bolt.
